you can use a DVI cable that is 24+1 with that monitor, the extra 4 pins are for audio, you'll have no issues with video if you want audio you'd have to either use other form of audio or get a display port/hdmi to dvi 24+5 adapter if you want audio from the monitor from what it sounds.

From the specs at least to me, it sounds like the GPU is being bottle-necked by the processor but I would see what others have to say

I attempted with the diskpart command...doesn't matter at this point I plugged the drives into another computer which said that they were empty and so I have no choice but to reinstall, all is lost
