Question Hard drive not showing up

Initialize only does a wipe of the MBR iirc.. May be possible to image the drive with FTK Imager, grab data from the e01, and wipe and reuse the external.

[SOLVED] Questions on setting up RGB correctly for my build

If those fans don';t turn on even after disconnecting working ones they may be DOA. From my understanding there are RGB header splitter/hubs available that might work for you if you really are maxing out power on the header.

[SOLVED] Is it safe or recommend to use old RAM with new RAM?

It is not. You can try and see how stable it is, but RAM is generally very finicky. It will also all run at 2400, versus a mix of 2400 and 2800

    [SOLVED] x99 CPU reccomendations

r710s are old. I would not recommend them unless it's cheap. they're ~100-150 on r/hardwareswap. r720s are a little more but worth it since it's not EOL as the r710s are. If you're looking for pure storage and nothing else, whitebox a supermicro build in a 4u.

[SOLVED] Switch from i7-4790 to i5-9600K?

The main benefit of, say a r5 3600, is that it has Hyperthreading/SMT, and being cheaper than an i5-9600k. I think that would be a worthy successor of your Haswell i5.

Question hi guys, can you help? are you familiar with this hardware?

I'll double down on that last comment. Any sort of engagement eg pentesting, a company brings their own devices. My guess is the "company" you're getting this info from is gonna take the hardware and scram. You get what you pay for and this looks like payment for a scam.

Question PC Stuck on Mobo Splash Screen when I have my Mouse and Keyboard plugged in.

Have you tried clearing CMOS? Normally this can be done by changing a jumper around or removing the cell battery; refer to your manual because the jumper tends to be easier.
