[SOLVED] PC won't post.. same issue I have had to fix three times now!

Darn well you tried sir! perhaps a failed motherboard then. I've seem multiple sticks of ram go Kaput in one go too but I'd lean towards Mobo first, Ram, then the CPU being bad (I don't think your CPU is bad). You could probably score another motherboardused in local trade Facebook market...

[SOLVED] PC won't post.. same issue I have had to fix three times now!

I wouldn't take it to a computer repair store... it' seems like a good setup and you might only be looking at a short or a single piece of failed hardware. So this thing was working for months and months... and you guys are discussing if the CPU is compatible with the board? haha Power...

[SOLVED] Upgrading computer on a budget

Your rig is fine. You've got plenty of Ram & your CPU is still solid. 4th Gen i5's are not far off (especially with a little overlock action) from many the 2000 Series AMD chips in performance like a 2600x. Couple of things though Get rid of the 1300W PSU (way overkill for what you're doing)...

[SOLVED] Need help with a seemingly undiagnosable problem

You wouldn't happen to have MSI Afterburner running on your machine would you? Believe it or not... I thought my 1070 was dying maybe or I was having Overclocking issues/bad PSU. This turned out to be some kind of odd conflict with Afterburner ( I never overclocked this card with afterburner...

    [SOLVED] My pc wont work

Well you have a clean install so that is good, same issues though.... Good Buget combos.

What's your budget? Looks like you're OK with 2nd hand setups (I like used hardware save $$)I'd stay far away from both of those builds you linked. I'd look for a 2nd or 3rd gen i5 setup. It will blow your current CPU away and shouldn't break the bank. Check the classified forum for deals here...

Just to rule it out is everything on that ssd? Do you have another drive you can put your OS on to test. I've seen ssds cause similar freezing in the past.
