[SOLVED] Newly built gaming rig, games keep crashing

I know its been a little bit but I ran Memtest and found out my second 8gb stick of ram was causing all of the issues. Took it out and my PC fired up no problem way faster than it had before. Thanks for your help!

[SOLVED] 36 errors within the first 3 minutes of running Memtest86

So I ran my first stick for 1 pass through all 4 slots and got no errors. Second stick is showing 167 errors within the first 3 minutes on my first slot. I'm no genius, but I think it's safe to assume that my second stick of RAM is the issue, haha

[SOLVED] 36 errors within the first 3 minutes of running Memtest86

I've had games crashing on me in the middle of playing since I built my new rig about two weeks ago. Im currently running Memtest and its 16 minutes into its first pass and has already discovered 36 errors but im not sure what they mean or if im going to have to sink even more money into this...

[SOLVED] Why is my score so low on user benchmarks?

From that link you gave it says there is a "60FPS frame cap detected", might be your issue there. Another thing (Just my personal opinion here) is that 4k max settings is a little unnecessary. I find that running games on medium or high settings to get extra frames is a better tradeoff in...

[SOLVED] Help with building my new gaming PC

That "compatibility issue" is just a bios update for the motherboard potentially needing an older CPU if the CPU you're trying to put into it is newer/first released after you bought the motherboard, It shouldn't really be an issue for you in this case. Also, I agree with Hellfire's build list...

[SOLVED] Wait for one or two generations?

To each his own, but I would say waiting for DDR5 would be a mistake over taking a high speed DDR4 kit. It's possible to get 16gb of DDR4 rated at 3600Mhz for under $100 which I think is plenty for most things done on a computer. I'm not sure what you would be running on your pc or if you would...

I haven't tried reinstalling Windows but I have ran the Windows memory diagnostic with everything checking out fine. If I'm all out of luck after trying my hand at a few other solutions I'll reinstall it. Thanks!

[SOLVED] Newly built gaming rig, games keep crashing

Thanks for the tips, and yeah I should've looked into the PSU I was getting a little more before I bought it. That's just a mistake on my end trying to save a little money however I do plan on switching it out for a better one in the near future. Also about the booting issue im having: When I...

[SOLVED] Newly built gaming rig, games keep crashing

I recently built a new gaming rig after my PC from 6 years ago started to slowly die on me. I've been experiencing some of my games crashing, some more than others, and I have attempted to solve the problem myself but am all out of ideas and would like someone else's opinion. My specs are as...
