I've tried really hard to make the ATX connector clip in and it simply won't. No way I'm shaving any plastic down - I don't want to damage anything.

As the title states, no matter how much force I apply, the connector just won't go all the way in and doesn't make the typical clicking noise. Still, the motherboard (ASRock Z87 Pro4) seems to be working fine. Should I be worried?

It just doesn't make any sense. If memory serves me right, the same GPUs (AMD Radeon 7950 and NVIDIA GTX 660) were recommended for Shadow of Mordor, which was actually pretty well optimized with the exception of the VRAM the game needed for its textures.
