I already had the mobo but I hadn't used it. I want to because I can connect more hard drives to it. Again I'm sorry for not explaining things very well.

Actually I think the problem was that the CPU fan I was using had old thermal grease on the bottom. I just cleaned it off and I'm going put more on. I'll see if that works and will tell you the results.

The Z77 was the old board. The cpu I had for it was the Intel Core i7-2600k

What made you think I was using a LGA 1155? I don't know what I have but it fits. I had a smaller one on my old mobo, I didn't use that one. How can I tell what the one I have now is? I don't have the box. btw I'm a kind of a noob

I was going to replace my motherboard from a GA-Z77-DS3H to a GA-EX58-UD3R but that didn't seem to work. Then the comp started to shut down 1 minute after I turned to on. I thought it was my PSU but after I replaced it, it would still do the same thing. So I'm thinking it MUST be my motherboard...

Never mind. They were disabled in the bios. I enabled then and it's working now.

I just replaced my old GA-Z77-DS3H motherboard with a new GA-EX58-UD5 and now after I boot my computer the keyboard and mouse stop working. I have no idea what is wrong. Please help ASAP. Thanks,
