[SOLVED] Getting the runaround from Cox. Is my rationale wrong with troubleshooting my own Wifi?

Would running a power line adapter give me the same results as a Ethernet connection? Or will the power line suffer from the same problems as the wifi?

[SOLVED] Getting the runaround from Cox. Is my rationale wrong with troubleshooting my own Wifi?

About three months ago I started to run across slower download/upload speeds and ping issues. My service provider is cox and I rent a gateway from them. When I used to speed test on wifi on all devices I get 70-100mbps download and close to 20mbps upload and 9-15 ping which is all pretty solid...

[SOLVED] Sudden problems with my Wi-Fi/service on all devices.

thanks for the reply! I’m going to sit on it for another couple of days and If I don’t see any marked improvement, I’m just going to go get a router and modem from the store and return the rented gateway.

Any problems with using an OEM copy from Amazon/Newegg for a clean install on an SSD?

Is this the best way to go? I really don't want to buy a new copy of windows 10 because I like 7 much better. Would it be a problem to clean install an OEM version of Windows 7 onto my SSD? Or should I just bite the bullet and go with 10 so I can get support/updates from Microsoft if needed...

CPU/MOBO upgrade just looking for some input/help.

Possible upgrade: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/PzvwCJ I'm not sure if I want to go AMD or Intel with my budget (about 300$ or so). I don't plan on doing any overclocking. This is my first real time buying a CPU, RAM, and Motherboard, so I'm pretty in the dark with allof those. I essentially took...

And if I wanted to go Intel? How would I want to go about that and whats all the hype with the new skylake cpu's? I'm on about a 350$ budget with MOBO/CPU/RAM for this build.

Where to go from here? Possible GPU or CPU/MOBO/RAM upgrade?

Hey all, I currently just finished installing a fully built computer into a new case and changing the power supply (stressful, but not nearly as challenging as I thought). I now want to change out the rest of my "stock" parts to new parts. I already have a pretty solid OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W...
