Hey, Thanks i think you've actually answered my question i did play with the fan curve on the old cooler when i first got it a couple of years ago and haven't on the new one since it works great under load so that seems most likely -

[SOLVED] CPU/Heatsink idle temps ?
I recently upgraded from a Coolermaster 171C CPU Cooler to a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE and temps under barely any load have gone up from 30-35 to 45. Under heavy load it's way cooler though, it's gone down about 30 degrees. Is this normal ?
