I think we would hit a problem with the Noctua, because the RAM slot is fairly close to the CPU on my mobo and the RAM is decently tall, I think there might be blockage.

Yep, core temperatures

That's what I mean - it does spike to 70 but never stays. Usually 55 while gaming. Is that normal? Is the spike anything to worry about?

So I've heard that 70 is fine, and also that it's only 7 away from the max. Those seem conflicting.

Ok, we got the fan on tight, but the cpu is still running really hot. I was just using chrome and it was in the 90s temp wise. Would thermal paste help much?
