I've tried running the game in borderless and windowed mode, windowed mode seems to create more lag but borderless is virtually the same as full screen

During the past week, my PC has been lagging a lot in LoL, and I used to get a solid 60fps on medium high settings. Now I'm forced to play at 1024x768 just to remain above 30fps. As shown in these screenshots (http://imgur.com/a/b0nT3) one frame I'm at over 100fps (Medium settings, no shadows)...
