How do I get the most out my SM951?

Hi all, I've just built a new system with the below spec, along with a couple of old 7200RPM HDDs that I'll most likely swap out for some newer SSDs, money permitting. So far I've only installed Windows 10 onto the Samsung drive, and I'm extremely happy with the performance so far. What I'm...

New build - can't find my M.2 drive

I'll try the latest BIOS now - there appears to be a newer version F8. Hopefully that'll shed some light on things.

New build - can't find my M.2 drive

Shaun o - sorry if this I misunderstand you, but I'm in "classic" mode. UI looks almost exactly like this: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/WnBSNfmiXng/maxresdefault.jpg

New build - can't find my M.2 drive

Well that's concerning - it doesn't appear in the list of bootable drives or within the SATA config list. Should I assume a dead drive? FWIW, SATA mode is set to AHCI, and SATA Express SRIS is set to Auto. Also, SATA ports 6 and 7 (which are disabled when using M.2) are absent from the config...

New build - can't find my M.2 drive

Thanks Ubrales - and sorry i didn't make it clear, but it's the finding the correct BIOS settings that's the main issue. I've unplugged the two HDDs for now and left the DVD drive in (which is recognised) to Windows install from. As for the BIOS, I can find the SATA options, boot order etc...

New build - can't find my M.2 drive

I've just put a new machine together: MB: Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H-BK CPU: i7-4790K SSD: Samsung MZVPV256HDGL-00000 RAM: 32GB Corsair CMY32GX3M4A1600C9 PSU: Corsair 600M And I'm in the BIOS, trying to locate the installed M.2 drive on which I want to install Windows. There's a couple of old HDDs in...

GPU for Adobe applications and (soon to be) dual monitors.

Well after not much activity on here, and a lot of research elsewhere... I decided to double my chosen RAM to 32GB and opted for the following GPU: EVGA 02G-P4-3753-KR Seems that the majority of Photoshop functionality would benefit mostly from an increase in RAM - Illustrator too. Were I to...

GPU for Adobe applications and (soon to be) dual monitors.

I'm building a new rig and so far have settled on the following components: Intel i7 4790K CPU Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK MoBo CORSAIR Vengeance Pro 16GB RAM But now I need to decide on a graphics card... I won't be using it for any gaming, but I will be using Adobe software - primarily...

    Motherboard minefield (for a i7 4790)

It's that time again when I must build a new rig as my old one slowly fails. I've settled on basing it round an i7 4790 and its primary purpose will be design and development. Typically, I'll have Chrome and/or Firefox with 10+ tabs in each, a text editor, Illustrator (occasionally Photoshop as...
