This is 1440p, so i would definitely lean towards the 980. The 980 would push playable frame rates on most titles with quality turn up pretty high, with greater than 60 fps if some quality is turned down (Im speaking of triple-A titles, so preformance will probably be better with other games)...

Today i was using speedtest.net to try to figure out where the bottleneck in my slow internet was. so i use the website for over wifi, on my laptop. i got ping of 34, download of 10.44 Mbps, and upload of 3.09 Mbps. this is over the lynksys ea6200 router, and this is with my dell inspiron 15...

I am planning on buying a gtx 980 ti, the zotac amp extreme edition. I also plan to get 3 144hz 1080p monitors, and normally that wouldn't be a problem. However, i live near a micro center, and they have a deal on a monitor for $50 off...
