My Nvidia MX150 throttles at 63 degrees. How do I stop this?

Clock your GPU a little slower. That way you won’t hit the temp limit/at least not as fast. It’s not ideal, but keep in mind that laptops are not meant to be reaching high temps without adequate cooling. While I agree that maybe the Temp limit is too conservative, at least HP is trying to make...

Is RTX 2080 worth it? And which version should I buy?

I agree with Greeko85. If the performance isn’t as much of a leap forward as Nvidia is claiming, stick with your 1080.

    Need help with driver issues

If your GPU is now working fine you’re probably alright. If you want to be extra safe, uninstall all Nvidia drivers using DDU and start fresh. Enjoy your new PC!

    ABOUT GTX 1050Ti

The 1050ti only uses 75 watts. Your PSU is more than enough. I’m running it on a 250w :D Buy the 1050ti you won’t regret it!

does overclocking a bottlenecked gpu improve peformance

To answer your question, if your GPU is bottlenecked by a weak CPU, any GPU performance gained by over clocking is pointless. If it can’t even fully perform at stock clocks, then don’t bother overclocking. Save some extra strain on your GPU.

    i5 7400 Overclocking ?

As you said yourself, a locked Kaby Lake chip cannot be overclocked. Skylake chips that were locked could be overclocked on a certain bios on certain motherboards, but then revisions got released. To be honest, a I5 7400 is more than good enough for gaming. Also, just because the motherboard...

    Could I stream?

I don’t think you would have very good results with streaming. It’s very CPU dependent and you’re not going to have a very smooth stream/gameplay experience. Keep in mind you can do a Pin mod on your CPU, cover two pins with electrical tape and your Q6600 will run at 3.0 GHz stable. There’s...

Impact of PCIE 2.0 X4 for gaming

I bought a Dell prebuilt a while back with an i7. The main PCIE X16 slot doesn’t have room for a dual slot card because there are no brackets to the right. Can’t cut off part of the case because there is an audio jack in the way so it wouldn’t matter. There is a PCIE X16 slot though that will...
