arich5i question the longevity of a 400w psu in a build like this though Do not question. Falcon northwest (a reliable company) builds the Tiki PC with a 450w psu. Uses an OC i7 3770k with the new GTX Titan.

Let me guess. You changed mobo/cpu/ram and tried to use your old HD with old windows install? Well.. this usually doesn't works. It would be better to format the HD. As a plus use the 64bit windows version

I remember AMD claiming their cpus are ahead of time. Then some W7 updates was necessary. Then more softwares need update. Then we need piledriver. Then need W8. Now need W8 power-altering updates. All that to make the cpu work properly? I'm really uncomfortably with that.

Just to be sure. You really using a 1280x1024 monitor? You really don't need 2 vid cards, they're lousy. Considering noise and low power you should kick-in a intel cpu, not amd.

Sadly I do agree with Softraid. Raid 0 strips the data over the HDs. And a MFT is created to correctly allocate all the data. I don't know any fast, easy way to recover the data...
