Hey, sorry for not replying to you. My brother wanted to test his PC for another day, just to get better results. He says that the SFC scan did not fix his issue. Is there anything else that can be done?

He rebooted, but since the issue did not occur at a specific time, he is going to take his PC for a test drive for the whole day and then I'll post a second update.

Some of the issues seem to be software-related, but the random RAM sticks can really contribute to his problems. From what I can make out, the "it" he has uninstalled were the updates.

UPDATE: SFC did find some corrupt files, but it will repair them during the next reboot. ...Which may take a long time, since my brother is playing a game right now and cannot reboot.

The drivers on Gigabyte's webpage are the exact same that were supplied with the disc. As for the SFC scan, I told him to run it. I'll post the results here.

You can also run sfc /scannow and DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth in an administrator command prompt. Remember to restart after running both commands.

The folder was in User\AppData\Local\Temp, not in Windows\Temp, so the VS failures were really weird. It got fixed, though, so I'm happy now and I learned my lesson. I'm not messing around with Temp folders again.

Sorry for the late reply. I did run SFC, but nothing changed. I even ran DISM multiple times (both from Windows Update and from a local ISO I have available), but to no avail. I have to note though that I did not restart Windows because I couldn't at the time.
