Yes as I've got video editing in mind I've gone for the i7 4770k, with 16gb dual channel Kingston hyper x Predator 2133hz dimms and a gtx770 with 4gb.

Awesome thread lots of good information. Or at least the answers I was looking for. My thread just didn't get the responses I was looking for. I had the same compatibility issue flag up on my pcpartpicker list. My mobo supports high speed ram but the i74770k has the lower recommended voltages.

This was my original thoughts. My mate who's an amd fanboy just scared me into changing it. My own ignorance is to blame for that. He said I might fry the mobo. Last time I listen to him.

Also I do intend on getting the unlocked cpu. I hadn't selected it in the part list but had mentioned in the above posts.
