Sorry for bumping but I've researched the interwebs and found that many people who have the same case as mine have their heat sinks facing in the same orientation as mine (cpu fan away from exhaust)? I'm going to make it face towards the exhaust on my next try but I'm swapping out the heat sink...

I haven't had time to visit Micro Center yet. I might take this heat sink back and swap it out for say a Corsair Liquid Radiator or something. They seem easier to install (well at the least the pre-filled ones do anyway). Or to just think about it I may just take my whole system to Micro Center...

So this is where I was going wrong. I've failed to understand the airflow of the case. This is my first build period and I've been a bit clumsy with it. I'm still learning and wish I could've done everything a little differently.

Hmm... that is what I figured so I removed the fan that is blowing red in the sketch. I will take some pictures tonight. I may just take it back to Micro Center, swap out the CPU and heat sink with new ones, and get them to install the CPU / heat sink. The rest of the process is easy peezy lemon...

My current temps range between 40 to 50 when idle, 80 to 90 when under stress from prime95, and 3D rendering causes it to reach around 95 to 100 degrees. This is boiling point. I had them down to 28-30 when idle, 50-60 when under stress and 70-75 when rendering 3D images but I wasn't satisfied...

I added another fan as well as putting my side panel on but it seemed to go up in temps and I'm not sure why? Maybe because I moved the heatsink around a bit. Check out this Prime95 test... I've noticed it has .4mhz more speed and I'm not overclocking or anything? I think my motherboard might...

I wonder if I could get the temps to run slightly lower by chance? I didn't install my second fan back yet. That may drop it 1 or 2 degrees down. Also should I try to unmount and remount? Change around a few bio settings? I seen someone on this board getting 20 degrees idle and 45-50 degrees...
