Did you get to the bottom of this and find out what caused this? I have the exact same artifacting on mine, it just randomly appears when using the PC and even on the desktop when moving the mouse, and then it BSOD's.

It could be the drivers. Remove the current drivers with DDU in safe mode and then install the latest drivers.

Even on full load that temperature would stay the same or increase by only 5 degrees. I wouldn't worry about it if it stays under 70c. Mine always hovered around 50-60c.
