I’m having trouble mounting the x shaped thing onto the cpu. When I screw in one corner the other one rises up and I can’t screw it down. Any tips?

I just got it a couple of days ago should I return and get another one or could it be my settings?

My gpu also makes and sound whenever I boot up games and can’t render anything and my pc crashes

Just got this gtx 1050 ti 4g gpu and can’t run any games.When I checked my pc I heard like a cd being scratched kind of sound coming from if.It was from the gpu and now I don’t know what to do.
