News DOE Enters Partnership to Use World's Largest Chips With 1.2 Trillion Transistors on 46,225 Square Millimeters of Silicon

This site is pretty <Mod Edit> now. My phone is running super hot since getting here and I got people I don't know contacting me telling me they have missed calls from me while in the site, which I never made. The ads suck up the side space and it jumps as they load in scrolling down, and the...

Lawsuit Accuses Microsoft Of HoloLens Patent Infringement

Hm, I was trying to get my hands on some advanced vr chips to do something like hololens within three years before the hololens project was even announced to have existed, and bingo, hololens came along. Hopefully it was parallel development (but on a number of occasions those that had...

Windows Mixed Reality HMDs: A Spec Comparison

I knew a company with 16k resolution prototype chips years ago. Back then (in the previous 8k prototype area) I was sprooking an AR system that oddly sounds like the dien the track subsequent hololens. His resolution is too low, it should be 4k-8k an eye.

Mira Announces Prism, $99 Augmented Reality Headset

I am very interested in the goofy looking thing. There was a device many years ago that refkected the oh be fine, but more VR I think. Now, for smaller phones to use in these things. Can you imagine wearing these things in a tight space and at work.

Google Glass Resurfaces As Industrial-Grade 'Glass Enterprise Edition'

When I wantef to do an glasses product, these are the sorts of targets I was looking at. But, as an potential enterprise customer, I am completely unhappy with any thing that monitors transmitting the data outside the company borders. In other words, many Google products. I'm very apposed. I...

AMD Announces Radeon Pro WX 2100, 3100 For Workstations

What is this nonsense. People in the media industry I know ate buying twin GTX 1080 Ti card, and they are still not anywhere near enough to process their footage realtime full resolution. GPU's maybe a much faster accelerator for processing odd high end video codec types, but something like...

Apple Announces Vega-Equipped iMac Pro, Updates Existing Macs With Better Graphics

Its about time they caught up with the HP z1. But seriously, they should have gone for upgradable AMD Nvidia graphics and AMD CPU, and sold the top configuration for $1000 less than the proposed 8 core price. Will they ever learn. Now, big mistakes. People here are talking games, and VR...

Samsung Reveals 4nm Process Generation, Full Foundry Roadmap

Sorry I should have said below 7nm instead. But where do power savings stop now, as they seem to indicate it has moved below 7nm? Maybe the problem is use of electrons. Can magnetic fields go lower? What is the bond distance between atoms on a chip?

Intel Brings Thunderbolt To The CPU, Gives It Away

This is the worse website I have ever come across. It just lost my comment that I had to wait for it to type out a character every 10+ seconds. The comment software is just pure 'Evil' as is the divided page with other articles that reloaded with the next article so that it closed using back...

Samsung Reveals 4nm Process Generation, Full Foundry Roadmap

Thanks Karadjgne and Invaliderror. But how are they going to use silicon to go below 4nm now? Also, do you have a link to that nvidia article, I couldn't find it again?

Samsung Reveals 4nm Process Generation, Full Foundry Roadmap

What ever, happened to 7nm being the point where leakage caused decreased size past that to offer no energy savings, but only increased energy per clock increase, with 5nm being the functional limit (according to a nvidia article years back)?

Microsoft Announces Windows 10 S, New Surface Laptop

I basically really only need to be able to install my old pre 8 software through external drive, and utlities. Everything else should be on the store. And it definitely needs 10-20 hours batery life. If they could kil metro style dead and redo phones aswell. I'm sick to death android...
