I am planning to replace it on christmas, but could it run the 3080 or is it just gonna fry my whole system (haven't test ed it)?

So, i recently bought an rtx 3080 and I am wondering if my old psu (Thermaltake Toughpower W0117 85% efficiency) could run my gpu with out any problems or if maybe i need to buy a new one. I've been using it for two years with my rtx 2060 and it's been performing great and without any problems...

It's a thermaltake toughpower W0117 semi modular 750W up to 85% effiecient(an older model). I've been using it with my rtx 2060 and there have been no problems for the past 2 years.

So, I recently bought an rtx 3080. But I've run into a problem. my psu (being an old thermaltake 750W) only has one 8 pin "slot"and it has 4 6-pins. I have 2 cables for the gpu. An 8 pin to 8 pin and a 6+2 to 8 pin. Would it be better if i just left the 2pins out and plugged the 8 pin to it's...
