A new monitor and a new duel GFX card either 690 or 7990 will be the only upgrade i would suggest. A better cpu might be required for both of these cards to run at max.

Wait for the newest GFX cards to come out, thats all i can suggest as your system is good. The only other thing would be to replace your processor..new AMD maybe? (New ones are comming out soon as well.) It also depends on what you mean by "environment", as you could go tri monitor if you wanted.

I would plump for the 660gtx, over the 550ti, as i think it has greater bandwidth thus giving slightly higher performance at 1080p.
