So I checked the back thoroughly, and nope no scratches.

Tried putting it on a cardboard box and still the same issue, also made sure there's no prongs going in prior to plugging everything back in. In terms of the scratch, I suppose it's possible because I had to readjust it to line up on the standoffs, but I don't think that would be the cause Ill...

Yeah I understand. I made sure not to wear socks or anything super static-y if that makes any sense lol. Only other thing I did was tighten the CPU cooler but I doubt that's the culprit

Aww man that sucks,but you're probably right. I was doing it standing on carpet but I've never had an issue with it. Always make sure to ground myself

Did try all of this and still nothing. CPU pin did a tiny bit of paste on it, but that was after the problem already started. I gently wiped it off with a q-tip but still nothing. I'm suspecting the motherboard or ram
