In some games yes, most no. Some games even a 4790k @ 4.8 will bottleneck. You should be fine though there will be a few cases where you will be held back. -

Please don't buy any AM1 CPUs for gaming unless you really have to. Many games will not hit 30 fps period. http://www.anandtech.com/show/8370/gigabyte-am1m-s2h-review/5 60 is really difficult. -
