This time I clicked “Try Ubuntu”. The system immediately froze where I saw my mouse pointer but the neither the mouse or keyboard was responding to num lock or mouse movement.

It certainly was a prebuilt system. Now it’s a bunch of spare components in a dysfunctional system.

@SkyNetRising, funnily enough, I enabled XMP, for <Mod Edit> and giggles, and got past the errors and the freezing. I am currently in the middle of the Ubuntu installation.

XMP was already disabled. Not sure exactly what you are looking for re: image but here you go. Open case
