Question Gaming monitor advice, 27" too big?

Ive been using the new monitor for a month now. Ive got some insights on my original question, "is 27" too big" The top and side bezels on monitors I got from 2007-2020 have shrink a tiny bit, from 1.1" to 0.8" but the difference is barely noticeable. The new 27" 1440p monitor has almost no...

    Info Thermalright fan ARGB amps

All the thermal right fans are able to be daisy chained. Case ARGB can connect to the last fan . The TL-S12 (non-S) are going to be returned the don't look right with the rest. I went with 3x TL-S12S to header#1 2x C14C-S + 3x C12C-S + Case Led to header #2. Max power draw on each comes...

    Info Thermalright fan ARGB amps

[Moderator edit: Changing title to Info and moving thread from Components to Opinions and Experiences. Post is not a technical question and based on OP's experiences.] My new setup is the microcenter MSI B650-P Pro Wifi and Montech King 95 (non-Pro) case. I bought 4 types of Thermalright...

Question Surprising results upgrading heatsink fans

Its just king 95 with all 4 panels removed... essentially just an upright motherboard tray and a rear exhaust fan. zero chance of stagnant air

Question Surprising results upgrading heatsink fans

These are averages of 5 tests each configuration (and tried a few other combos) but your not wrong, making sure the fans are mounted as low as possible made a bigger difference than the extra 40cfm. Using 2x140mm fans got the worst results on the FS140, I'm guessing because some air can pass...

Question Surprising results upgrading heatsink fans

Thermalrights Frost Spirit is ostensibly the best air cooler for ryzen 7000 cpus. But the fans are a little dated. I tried various combos of higher static pressure, rpm, cfm fans. At best I got 0.3°C lower temps running cinebench using (91.9 vs 91.6 with a 7700x using Frost Commander's...

Question Anyone using HDDs in Motech King 95?

You're right, sticking a shimming between the innerward facing side of the drives is the best option. There isn't any over hanging plastic or else I'd just add a screw hole through the cage and sled. The regular and XL versions of the 011 Dynamic Evo look like slighty wide rectangular...

Question Anyone using HDDs in Motech King 95?

In hind site I should have asked how to secure the HDD on any sled/caddie style case that doesn't get screwed down. At 5m 10sec of this video, you can see and hear exactly what I'm talking about. HDD is secure to the sled, sled is secure to nothing, you can hear it rattling around as it goes...

Question Anyone using HDDs in Motech King 95?

TLDR: I need advice on how to secure 3.5" drives in a King 95 to mitigate vibration ____________ I always wanted a cube case, and needed 3x 3.5", 2x 2.5" bays. King 95 was the obvious choice. Reviews focus on the aesthetic and cooling, gloss over the other aspects. I'm a little disappointed...

    Question Overclocking 7700x

My googling skills suck apparently. I'm trying find a guide on overclocking (optimizing) my 7700x. A link would be fine I don't want to punch in arbitrary PPT TDC EDC values without knowing how they're derived. or what PBO modes do ( pbo1,2,3,4, enhanced pbo1,2,3 , etc) I haven't tweaked a...

Question When did hard drive racks/cages disappear

I've got back and looked at "best ATX cases of 2024" all the way through "... of 2012". I think I can answer my own question. In general it looks like in 2012-2014 the trend was to leave a gap in the middle of the HDD rack for long GPU's , 2014-2015 the optical bays on top were taken out...

Question When did hard drive racks/cages disappear

9+ 3.5" AND 5.25" combined (either 6/3, 7/3, 6/4, 5/5 was the basic layout for most mid towers)

Question When did hard drive racks/cages disappear

The Antec 300 was a very basic budget nudtower case 6 x 3.5" 3x5.25". Cooler master hafs all had a similar lay out more bays. Thermaltake's budget mid towers all looked like the Antec but narrower. .. 9 bays was the standard minimum for mid towers. From 2004-2014... I stopped buying cases...

Question When did hard drive racks/cages disappear

I haven't bought a new case in a very long time. Budget towers allways had hard drive racks than held 9-12+ 3.5" or 5.25" drives in the front. When did that stop being a thing?
