    Windows 7 Trim

I have a new system with an SSD. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Now my question is this. I know that 7 is supposed to handle Trim on the SSD when the system is idle. First of all will a screen saver be ok? Also how do I know Trim is in fact working?

    Change to AHCI

I have an older X58 system with I7-920 processor. I have recently upgraded to a Intel SSD. That is when I realized that I needed to be in AHCI mode. Is it possible to go into BIOS and change to AHCI without loosing everything? I would sure hate to have to reload .

    Idle Speed

I built a system AsRock P76 Extreme4 Gen3 I7-2700 overclocked to 4.7. When idling it runs 1.6. Now my wife plays Farmville on Facebook and she says it is slow. Does the fact that it idles down that far, slow her farming? Is there anyway to raise the idle speed to ,say 2.8 ?

    Intel Toolbox?

I have two computers with Win.XP and Intel SSDs. I use the Intel Toolbox to clean them. Question #1 is, will the Intel Toolbox work on any other brands? Question #2 does any other SSD manufacturer have their own toolbox? And question #3 is can you use the Toolbox with Windows 7?
