Willl Core i7 3770K be worth it.

If you're paying that much, just get the K version. Otherwise, you could opt for a Xeon E3-1230v2 instead.

Suggest a desktop configuration for a heavy multitasker

I highly recommend FALC0N's build, except that you may want a GTX 560 for light gaming and for the rare CUDA app. If not, then just go with a 6770 or a 7750, although you should check that it is GDDR5.

At least 8GB; its pretty standard and cheap. Most amateurs usually go with 16GB, though.

Option A or Option B? i7 or i5? Radeon or GTX?

I can't even believe people will suggest getting a more expensive build with a $100 cheaper CPU and WORSE GPU. Also, PhysX is next to useless(it's just eye-candy). TL;DR GET OPTION A.

    Graphics Card For My PC

Any of the HD 6xxx(lower than the 6850, faster than the 6450), or get the HD 7750. You also get the GT 6xx cards, but they are also a bit slow. I recommend the 7750 in case there is a slight chance that you want to game.

    PSU for HD6850

The standard 6850 is supposed to have only one PCI-e connection; only the ones with the 6870 PCB require 2 connections.

    Is all of this compatible?

Yes, just be careful with your RAM. If it's not low-profile, it might not fit under the CPU cooler.
