Plz read. Its about my new X1950XT. Thanks!!

I wouldn't bother with 8800 or any 8 series from what you've currently got. As they are 1st generation Dx10 cards, the performance increase wouldn't justify a new system. Your system is good enough to hold out to the second generation of DX10 cards. Developers are now accustomed to it's...

    7900GTO or 7950Gt superclocked??

My 7900GTO is fine at GTX speeds........... However I spent £165 inc vat + p+p. So was an easy pick over the 7950. I'm not sure where I'd put my money at todays prices but I'd suggest waitng for the midrange Directx 10 cards if you can. 8800GTX is such a preformance leap.

Nvidia Tightens Up Midrange Performance With The $300 GeForce 7950GT

Beer is always good. I've spoted a couple 512mb version for around the £210 mark. I bought myself a 7900GTO (7900GTX with slightly slower memory timings) which hammers the 7950GT for £165 from Dabs. I think we are about to get a performance leap in GPU technology soon, similar to when we...

A good card for around £200

Sorry Sprite, Your response wasn't on screen when I started typing. I've already bought the 7900GTO though because I melted my previous card and couldn't wait myself.

A good card for around £200

On Dabs they have - MSI 7900GTO 512mb at £165. (inc VAT & p+p). Which is a 7900GTX with slightly slower memory. It's hard to find benchmarks as they are only available in the EU. With DX10 coming in soon it might be a good idea to wait 6 months if you can. Nice system build

    Confused about 7900gto

I understand that from the benchmarks that the are only using the 256mb version of the 7950GT which is a little misleading but that doesn't mean that the 7900GTO used here is not based upon the GTX core. However to remind you of the original question. Which is asking why it based at such a low...

    Confused about 7900gto

    7900GTO (EU Only) 1. GTX core @ 650mhz 2. 24 Pipelines 3. 512mb Memory @ 1.3 Ghz ddr (650mhz) instead of 1.8Ghz ddr (800mhz) 4. GTX Heatsink -There does appear to be some 7900GTO in the U.S. based upon the 7900GT core- 7950GT 1. GT Core @ 550mhz -non overclocked versions / Rumour is...

    Confused about 7900gto

Considering the linked page contains benchmarks, you don't exactly need to be able to read dutch it to understand it........ The benchmarks clearly show the 1900GT miles behind 7900GTO, I don't think we want to bring the GT into this. Nuff said. In response to whether the 7900GTO is any good...
