i would recommend win 8 over 7. but get an ssd!. and anti-virus i use avg free, tho there are lots of other alternatives.

If they are same price i'd go for the maximus. i have the sabertooth but in norway saber tooth is 3/4 of the price of maximus, and it would mess up with the colors in my case. Color, software and rog is the only difference and if you think it's "sexy" go for it. but think of what J_E_D_70 said...

I dont see any reason to not get windows 8. Get windows 8 with classic shell http://www.classicshell.net/ ("and stop yer bitching!" just kidding :p ). there is few reasons to use an old os, but the performance question "win 7 vs. win 8" stop it please! boot time is lower but still games and so...

ok got my dvi cable and dvi - mini dp active adapter. i think both the cable and all the adapters was the problem, but my eyefinity x3 is running fine now thanks :D
