Yeah, so you get a thunderbolt cable and start target disk mode on the MacBook, grab Carbon Copy Cloner, and "flash" your install to the MacBook. Should move everything.

This is sort of hilarious, but install VLC. You can upload to VNC media player and pull it off over the network later. Go to the network tab, turn on web uploads, then shoot whatever you want in thru the upload page it posts.

I'd give it a shot. I've had interest in doing this myself, but I haven't had the chance to get my hands on an M1 yet. If you were using the tools the iPad had, I'd try it.
