I am running 1402 if I recall correctly. How would updating my BIOS help in this I wonder though, this issue only came up after getting a new PSU. Then again, no harm in trying it of course and having an updated BIOS is a good idea.

I recently encountered a perplexing issue with my PC after installing a new power supply unit (PSU). Initially, the system seemed to run smoothly after some stress tests. However, after about an hour of operation, the fans (possibly the PSU fan) suddenly ramped up to full speed, creating an...
That's a good idea, I will try installing the latest BIOS stable release. And there were no other drives connected, as indeed there's a shared bus between one of the SATA's.
If this does not alleviate the issue, do you think it's indeed a problem with the drive itself? They should be compatible...
Hello everyone,
I've recently upgraded my PC and passed down some components to a family member, including my Asrock z390 Extreme4 motherboard. To enhance their experience, we replaced their old SATA drive with a new M.2 SSD. I've had positive experiences using an M.2 drive with this...
Hi guys! It took a while sorry, but thank you so much for your help. I have done the steps described by SkyNetRising, and everything went smoothly, I went into my boot menu and saw my 970 evo m.2 drive as a boot option, and it booted fine. I then proceeded to delete the old EFI partition via...
Thanks for the replies guys.
Is there any risk in creating such partition, and if not, could an expert in this give me a step by step of what I would do to create it?
Or would doing this not be worth it ?
I see. And what would happen if that HDD fails, or if I someday want to replace it? I presume windows will not boot anymore as it won't find the EFI partition anymore.
Hi, I have recently reinstalled windows on my disk. And I wanted to create a backup of this disk in case I need it in the future. I am using macrium for this, but upon opening it, I have noticed something weird (see image). It seems as if my HDD (Disk 1 - D) has a Windows EFI Partition, for some...
Thanks for the amazing help guys! I think I'll indeed just go with the upgrades instead of waiting (might wait until a black Friday sale, not sure yet). I'm curious to know why you you advice me to get the 4070 over the 3070 ti, the performance increase is about 20% between the two, but the...
Any opinions on the upgrades I'm planning to do? I have added some more information to my original post detailing my current setup and what I plan to upgrade on.
