I have updated my BIOS and the issue just happened again.

I am running 1402 if I recall correctly. How would updating my BIOS help in this I wonder though, this issue only came up after getting a new PSU. Then again, no harm in trying it of course and having an updated BIOS is a good idea.

That's a good idea, I will try installing the latest BIOS stable release. And there were no other drives connected, as indeed there's a shared bus between one of the SATA's. If this does not alleviate the issue, do you think it's indeed a problem with the drive itself? They should be compatible...

I see. And what would happen if that HDD fails, or if I someday want to replace it? I presume windows will not boot anymore as it won't find the EFI partition anymore.
