Ok, it finally arrived. I've used acronis true image to clone my old ssd and instantly the performance is night and day (i knew something was off with my old ssd). Booting windows takes half as long, opening programs feels much snappier, even loading into streets on tarkov (offline) took 12...
Its slim because it was my primary ssd for 7+ years if i recall correctly lol. 240gb at the time was expensive.
Which one of the 3 should i go for? Im mostly between the 990 pro (175 USD aprox) and the sn850x (130 USD aprox). the difference between the 2 in USD seems huge, but in R$ its not...
Im currently using a KINGSTON SA1000M8240G PCI3 as a boot drive (1500 Mb/s Reads/800Mb/s Writes, 100000 iops). Ive recently upgraded to a pci4 platform and im wondering if i should upgrade.
I dont have large bandwidth needs, im mostly seeking improved load times for programs/games, boot time...
Last update:
Ram arrived, worked flawlessly (didnt even need to cmos). Acording to Thaiphoon burner its skhynix c die (cjr) but its actually pretty good. Running it at 16-19-19-36 without even touching voltages. Didnt try to lower it anymore, but its stable as stock.
So, summing everything up...
I've ordered a 2x16 hyperx kit which seems to be good enough. It'll arrive tomorrow, and it'll probably just work (hopefully) since it's on the motherboard compatibility. Unfortunately here in Brazil it's hard to find good ram, especially gskill (without paying for import taxes). Since I managed...
Little update: I got it to post and pass memory tests at 3600mhz 18-21-21-39 with all 4 sticks. Saved the config on a pen drive, but after reconnecting and closing everything, it wouldn't post. Tried to reseat ram in the same order and now I can't get to post at 3600 even with one stick. Is it...
Ive recently upgraded from a 9700k with z390 Aorus Ultra to a 5800x3d and Asus Tuf B550m Plus Wifi II. My problem is i cant get the 5800x3d to post with 4 sticks (HyperX 8GB DDR4 3600 17-21-21-39) no matter how many combinations ive tried. Every stick is working (litteraly just unplugged from...
I'm playing with my oc settings again and finaly got Intel boost 2.0 thingy working on my z390 Aorus ultra.
I got 5.1 Ghz and 4.7 Cache stable with adaptive voltage (something like 1.410 if it was locked), but if i push it to 5.2 i can get a noticeble performance boost in Cinebench R15, but not...
I installed IPM just for curiosity and let it complete the tests, and it worked fine. I rebooted and installed XTU in the hopes I could see what parameters the IPM sets, and when it asked me to reboot, it started the IPM tests again, but it's in a loop and I can't boot into windows anymore, even...
Something very funny happened: Everything at 2400 mhz stock gets 3295 compared to 2197 on Performance test. Ill just find the sweetspot and forget about 3000. Thanks for the help @Darkbreeze
