I think you misread the article. It's not 300 nanometer technology, it's 28 nm technology on 300 millimeter fabs. 28 nm process is not that old. And yes, China's standard mode of operation was "steal and duplicate" for decades. Nothing racist about pointing out that fact.

That just means Nvidia is manufacturing 11 times more GPUs than AMD. Given that you can't buy any GPU at msrp tells me these numbers don't represent consumer preference, just that neither company can meet the demand for their cards. I've wanted to buy an RX 6800 for months, but they aren't...
