I think I got it. It didn't wiggle at all when I placed it in the motherboard. Now the heatsink is back on top. It should boot up with both sticks now, right?

Its just a tad bit bent. Nothing major. I guess I can try to bend it back myself.

Yep there is a bent pin. What should I do with it? Or just send it back?

What would be the best way to check? I saw something about going through it with a credit card.

Do the bios have anything to do with having dual channel setup? The computer runs now, but it will only run with 1 stick of RAM.

I just checked it, everything seems to be in order. Would it still fit into the CPU socket if it had any bent pins?

It works with both sticks. But only in the 3rd and fourth slot. Would I have to take the mobo out to check for bent pins, or just get completely new RAM?

I don't know what I did, but the video finally showed up, although it only works with 4GB of RAM installed, and the picture won't show up with 8GB in the 2nd and 4th slots. I've also tried the first and 3rd. But only 1 stick in the third is the only way I got it to give me video.

I've installed the GPU in another desktop and it works perfectly fine. Is the motherboard maybe bad, or is something just maybe not connected properly?

I also have no os on the desktop yet. or any drivers for the computer.

I just bought a Gigabyte R7 260x Radeon gpu, just put everything together last night. Everything is powered up, but it doesn't send a signal to the monitor. Tried it on my old desktop and it showed a picture with no problem. Connected the monitor to my laptop and it worked as well. I'm at a loss...

Yes, the fan on the case, the cpu, and gpu are all running when I power it up. When I put the cd in to install the os, it spins as well. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong. Made sure everything was in the correct socket. And went through the list you posted.

Nope still says checking for signal cable. I probably just messed something up along the way more than likely. I just need the display to work so I can install the OS. Would the HDD not being connected play a factor in any of this? I think it's connected, but this is my first build ever, so I...
