The detachable mic for my Hyper X Cloud no longer works, so I'm looking to get a new mic, preferably a cheap lavilier mic as they're quite compact. One with in-line mute switch would be useful but if not possible I might be able to plug it into my headsets control box. any suggestions?

Yes, if the new stick is the exact same model/specification it'll get along fine. You only start having issues when you begin mismatching RAM of different manufactures, frequencies, latencies etc.

Depends on the specs and components of it? Chances are you'd be better off just building one from scratch

What case/mobo do you have? Check in the manuals your using the right standoffs and the board and case are actually the right size for each other (as in ATX etc.)

I've heard that Samsung SSDs don't work so well with AMD chipsets and are know to perform below the speeds they do with an intel chipsets although I'm not sure if this is always true. I would contact Samsung support with your problem, if I was you, and ask them if there are compatibility issues...

I have the Hyper X Cloud (original) and it is a good headset although the mic isn't great so I would avoid Hyper X cloud 1 and 2 if you want a good mic. If you need a good mic as a prority it is probably best to buy a pair of headphones and then a separate desktop/lavilier mic.

Try resetting the CMOS on your motherboard. There should be a little plastic cap thing somewhere on the motherboard that you need to move to the pins next to it for a few seconds then back to the original pins. Check in your motherboard manual as it tells you where it is and how to do it.

I've thought about it and I think it is very unlikely that I could've caused the coloring. Mainly because it is in the exact same place on both sides in all four corners so what are the chances of me accidentally damaging or staining the headset in all those places. I've also been using it a lot...
