Should I upgrade my CPU or GPU for Starcraft 2

That dual core processor should do pretty well, my guess is the GPU. Upgrading to anything beyond the gts 200 series should yield good results.

    Melting CPU?

I recently used a reflow process to fix my broken GTX 260, and it worked rather well. Something I noticed was the the card had an integrated processing unit that lived through the baking process. From this, can we assume that a standard AMD or Intel processor could survive a bake at 400 degrees...

    4-pin and 8-pin power

UPDATE: Using the 4-pin power worked absolutely perfectly. No stability problems as of yet, and the speed is incredible!

    4-pin and 8-pin power

I want to upgrade my processor to an AMD quad core, preferably the Phenom II x4 955. My worry is that it is a 125w processor and my PSU only has a 4-pin (P4) cpu power connector. I do not intend to overclock, and my PSU is a 575 watt one. I am currently running a GTX 260, 2 HDDs and my DVD...

    CPU Fan Speed: Sporadic Flucuations

The regular place on the motherboard. The manual labels it as where you plug it in, it IS a 4 pin slot, whereas the fan is 3 pin but it is plugged into the approptiate place

    CPU Fan Speed: Sporadic Flucuations

I recently upgraded my motherboard from the original one that came with my computer, to a Jetway JXBLUE-78GA3D-LF motherboard. After I got everything installed and working, my CPU's fan speed began rising and falling randomly with no discernible pattern. It almost sounds like a small vacuum. I...

Just a couple things to check before I buy...

Thanks for the speedy reply. First, I was referencing the Athlon 64 5000+, would that still work on the 4 pin power? Second, does this mean that two nvidia cards would not work in sync on this motherboard?

Just a couple things to check before I buy...

I am looking into buying this Gigabyte motherboard to replace the one that came with my prebuilt PC, primarily for the sake of overclocking and a new processor in the future. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128384 There are just a few things which I wish to confirm, so...

    Motherboard ideas?

Sorry about not being so clear in my original post...Many of my components have been switched out from the original pre-built system over about the last year. I replaced my 2gb RAM with 4gb, added a 750gb hard drive, got that new power supply, got my GTX 260 about 2-3 months ago, and my Azza...

    Motherboard ideas?

My GTX 260 works pretty well with this psu, but Im probably gonna upgrade it to support 8 pin cpu power and more than one 12v rail for multiple gpus EDIT: Now I guess I'm going for PSUs also, any suggestions?
