As most of us know, modern mobos do not have the good, 'ole PCI slot. Not a single one. I'm in need to install an external audio card (onboard audio got fried), but as you may have guessed by the title: there is no correct slot on the mobo. So... can I actually install a PCI card in a PCIe 4x...

Quick update: GPU officially dead. Despite my best efforts and keeping the core at 60*C with a jet engine inside my case, today morning one of my card's voltage regulators got fried really badly. GPU and RAM units are in perfect shape, though. Gigabyte really screwed up VRM cooling on this...

Indeed. Well, problem solved. Stable OC @ 4.4 established. 41*C at peak temps. Go liquid cooling! :)
