Mostly gaming, wont be doing much editing or rendering. Maybe down the line i might. I really like the look of the Thor v2 white and the h100i though so id like to have those as an option. Plus like i said i can get the 4770k for $250 at micro center.

Just monitors i have a mouse and keyboard i like i just can't go over the $2,500 cap.

Only one monitor is going to be used for gaming, the other will run my background applications or keep my web browser open.

I have a cap of $2,500 that i can't go over and I'm looking for a high end gaming intel build with dual monitors, have mouse and keyboard. I can get the i7 4770k for $250 at micro center close to my house and am very fond of the Thor v2 White edition with the Corsair H100i. Any suggestions?

Awesome thanks man, i don't mean to turn this into a discussion but i was reading your earlier links. With them moving to the BGA does that mean its not even worth building a desktop with no hope of upgrading it in the future if intel kills being modular?

Oh nice lets hope they never go the way of the mac then. Any builds with monitors ? looking to run 2 of em about 20" each. I should have said that from the start but I'm new to this sorry guys.

What about the 1155 socket being dead isn't the upgrade to the HW worth it in the long run?

Why is the i5 better then the i7?

I have about $2,000 to spend on a build and i'd like it to be intel and nvidia based looking for top frames for gaming with top speed for program and os boot. Does anybody have an advise for me?
