[SOLVED] Custom Build ASUS WS-390 PRO with i9-9900K --- not booting

I resolved the issue. Everything works, not sure why it didn't first time. I have a separate, operational PC running the same i9 processor on a Gigabyte Auros Z390 Ultra motherboard. I ran all new parts on that MB and get them working. I ran all existing parts on the new MB and they worked...

Thanks Smorizio I purchased the Corsair PSU about 3 years ago. http://www.corsair.com/en-us/professional-series-gold-ax750-80-plus-gold-certified-fully-modular-power-supply From what I understand of your response, by running the 6 pin and 8 pin to the MB, that will provide power to the GPU...

    HTPC Update

Thanks for the advice Wolfshadow - I took your advice and freed up HDD space on the OS drive. I also tested the memory and found that two of my four 2GB sticks are bad. Tested a known good 2GB stick in each DIMM slot to confirm no MB issues. That seems to have fixed the issue.

    HTPC Update

I'm running 8GB of RAM (4 x 2GB) and actually have three HDD. The drive listed is OS and Recorded TV, then have two additional 2TB drives for recorded content (movies, etc.). OS and Recorded TV drive has about 150 GB remaining of 2TB. The other two each have about 400 GB of 2TB remaining...

    HTPC Update

Looking for feedback on an update to my HTPC. This update is exclusively for an HTPC - no gaming. Web browsing only for YouTube and Pandora type sites. WMC 7 and iTunes for media. I'm having significant BSOD issues, now even white screen of death issues, and am going to replace the MB and...

HTPC - Please Review my Build

Made a few more configuration changes on the setup. Went with the Gigabyte MB and GPU. Upped the size to an ATX case and MB. Dropped the CPU from 3.2 Ghz to 2.9 Ghz (same processer family, just a bit slower). And increased the PSU - the GPU says it requires 400W. The enermax has great...

HTPC Help - AMD vs. Intel

I could only pick one answer as the best answer. But all the feedback is really helping me to focus in on the right solution at the right price. Personally, I'd always been an Intel fan, but no more. I'm now moving to AMD. Maybe I'll go back one day, but for the money, it appears to be the...

HTPC Help - AMD vs. Intel

Thanks for the feedback. Given that I don't believe my TV supports 3D playback, do I need to worry about HDMI 1.4 today, or can I go with HDMI 1.3 and then just upgrade the video card at a later date? If so, then is this ATI Radeon HD5570 a good card to select - I assume it is an HDMI 1.3 card...

HTPC Help - AMD vs. Intel

I've been watching these boards for a while and am at an impasse for my HTPC build. I can't decide between a set up using an AMD chip with discrete GPU or an Intel i3 with integrated graphics. Throw in waiting for Sandybridge and I'm at a loss. My goal here is to spend less than $500 all in...
