Ok, so i reinstalled windows. Got sick of it. It's gone...now i have my old adapter plugged in and so far i keep getting blue screens during downloads. I'm still in the middle of updating my service packs and updates. I might look into an internal antenna wifi or drill through to the first floor...

So i returned my belkin ac dual band adapter that i bought to see if it would fix it...which it did, but i can buy it for 40 dollars less online than at walmart so now i have it's driver stuck on my computer and i can't find a program that can remove it. i've tried driver sweeper, but no luck...

I have full bars and only an xbox and computer between us

So now i'm having an issue with my downloads cutting off my internet. It seems like (with both adapters), that when i start a download, part way through it cuts me off and i can't get back on without a restart. No blue screen yet...but no games to test it with.

Yeah i had the 2.1 before...but just did a fresh install so i had to get it again. I just went out and bought a belkin dual band AC adapter, so i'm going to give it a try and check out the minidump as you've said. thanks you for your help!
