No i wouldnt open my hdd i would directly boot from dvd in his gig and remove old partitions along with all the files and install clean windows on it. The thing is will it work on my oc?
My pc got some weird virus that eats up c drive space and i wanted to install windows to solve that but i just discovered my dvd drive doesnt work anymore. Its an old pc and the dvd drive hasnt been used for ages. I cant download the windows installation media from microsoft web due to low space...
lol that won't be necessary. i never even needed this dvd drawer. its just annoying to see it opened up. i think i am just gonna disable the dvd drive from device manager to keep it closed. who needs a dvd driver these days?
yeah i know its an old pc. And my home is placed on a busy road and thus there is so dust piling up everyday on every part of the house and the pc isnt left alone either.
bro you guessed it right it was in fact sitting on its head. now i made it correct way up and the dvd drive is the right way up. but now the problem is the tray keeps opening by itself after i close it whether there is a disc or not. Its like there is something foreign object in the dvd drive...
okey but now the problem is that the dvd driver is not receiving any discs. the tray keeps opening whether i insert a disc or not. it just opens by itself just after its inserted.
