I have decided on the rx 480 aib due to the fact that g sync is crazy expensive and free sync isn't. The rx 480 also offers the upgrade path of putting in a second card. Thank you guys for the help.

I am considering buying an rx 480 when they come out so I looked at newegg and saw that there were many manufacturers of the card. (eg MSI Gigabyte XFX) However all of the cards seemed to have a reference cooler and design. So my question is does the manufacturer in this case matter? If so...

Hey I was able to solve the problem. My cpu cooler was uneven and one of my ram sticks was defective. I also was being stupid and forgot to plug in my gpu. Everything is working now.

Here is an edit on my situation. So with one ram stick it will post, but only one of the channels is working and only one specific ram stick is working. Could either of these be fixed with bios. If not are there any fixes for this. Also could this mean a faulty motherboard.

My pc that I just built isn't posting. It does power on though. When I pull out the ram it beeps a series of short beeps. When I put ram in I hear one long beep followed by two short beeps. I heard that this means something, but I don't know what. Please help.
