Name this Old Spaceship game and ill love you forever

A friend of mine used to play a game called Galactic Civilizations. Thats about the only turn-based space strategy game I know of.

Computer Performance Down 80% Since New Addition!

Howdy, What is the make and model of your current power supply? Have you verified the PCIE power connection on the video card is securely connected? Have you verified if FPS changes when running the game on low vs. high settings?

Its been a long time but I remember Masters of Orion was similar to that.

Low FPS in World of Warcraft

I would say its most likely you are running low on memory when playing WoW. WoW is very CPU intensive and uses a large amount of memory. Have you tried disabling all background applications (antivirus or other software thats not needed) when playing? My first suggestion would be to upgrade to...

What is bottle necking my performance in WoW/TF2?

This issue you are having is very confusing. Either you still have some software related issue with drivers or some other software. I would suggest grabbing the latest nvidia drivers following this link: Removing old drivers, to remove all traces of your current video drivers.

Low FPS in World of Warcraft

My first suggestion would be to upgrade your RAM to 4gigs. Also in your original post you stated you are experiencing problems with lag but then you said you are not have problems with latency. Is it just your FPS thats the issue?

What is bottle necking my performance in WoW/TF2?

I agree, I would look at purchasing a nice 750w or 850w from Silverstone, Corsair, or Antec. I'm a big fan of Mushkin power supplies but they are much more expensive.

What is bottle necking my performance in WoW/TF2?

I would say its time to look in to a new PSU to replace the OCZ, check warranty otherwise time for a new one :). Quick Edit *** I think its 3 year manufacturer warrantly on all OCZ power supplies.

What is bottle necking my performance in WoW/TF2?

Your computer would not boot with the ocz psu? Can you boot with one 9800 installed? The 300watt may not be enough for even 1 9800.

What is bottle necking my performance in WoW/TF2?

Unfortunately fps problems can be caused by a lot of factors, especially when it comes to online gaming you can be hindered by internet performance (which is why I had asked you to check packet loss/latency also you stated in a much earlier post you would see spikes of latency up to 900ms)...

What is bottle necking my performance in WoW/TF2?

Hmmm, since you have 2 video cards operating in SLI. Try each card individually in each of your PCIE slots to see if that yields any difference. You could try performing a clean install of the video drivers as well via safe mode and using driver sweeper to clear out old driver files. Then...

What is bottle necking my performance in WoW/TF2?

I would guess that your stuttering may have something to do with your ISP (or router). Is your PC connected via hardwire or wireless? Test latency when directly connected to the modem. You shouldn't see any packet loss unless you are really abusing your Internet connection. Can you perform...

What is bottle necking my performance in WoW/TF2?

If your seeing stuttering in games its either related to packet loss to the game servers or high temps on cpu/graphics. CPU and graphics all seem to check out I would suggest performing some tests out to the internet and see if you are still experiencing problems. What type of Internet Service...

What are your CPU temps looking like when playing a game? Have you gone through and done the usual inside the case as far as cleaning out any dust and the CPU heatsink...made sure the heatsink on the CPU is secure and locked in place? Is the heatsink the stock intel cooler?
