There will be almost no performance increase with that old of a CPU, not to mention the fact that your PSU is a cheap 280W, which cannot power the 750ti in the first place.

If the wear is minor and it comes with the charger, probably around $800 - $900.

I agree with Proofy, there is no reason to upgrade your motherboard. Upgrade your monitor then your gpu.

I agree with bjornl, it has to be the system drivers. I'd recommend backing up your files and reinstalling windows as it would be the cleanest solution, but you can also uninstall any old drivers from your Program Files and download the new ones for your motherboard from...

I'm assuming your i5 is Haswell (such as the 4690k). Your motherboard is on the cheap side and doesn't support overclocking, but it'l do just fine in this build. I would get an SSD if you can afford one, but other than that, your pc build will work fine. Enjoy your pc :)
