Update looks like RAM slot is broken.... tried sticking both the dimms in opposite slots, no hardware reserved but wont oc.... when I only use 1 dimm it overclocks with no issues..... Looks like im gonna have to sell the RAM and buy 1 stick with equal capacity any other suggestions
so it does the usual restart after saving changes then it restarts again and one more time before resettings the bios Its not the cpu as it runs stable without the OC ive been running it at 3.9 for a while and havent had any issues ive always set the voltage to auto....... New change ive noticed...
I recently moved and brought my pc with me, and ever since as soon as I overclock my cpu (R7 1700x 3.9 ghz) and ram (2x8gb 3200mhz) from stock settings it does a double reboot and resets the bios. Any help on how to diagnose/fix the issue would be appreciated mobo msi b450 tomahawk psu 650 W...
Sorry for being inspecific yes I already had 2 sticks and added another 2 I tohught because they were the exact same model there would be no issue I will test each individually now and isolate the issue, thanks for the guidance

I run a Ryzen R7 1700x at 3.9 ghz paired with a corsair H100i PRO push/pull , b450 towhawk, 16 gb DDR4 3200 mhz RAM 1TB SSD and Nvidia 2070 with a 650W gold PSU. I am planning on upgrading but still cant decide if its neccessary yet. I mainly play Rust and COD MW
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/61DHP1F7RF5B?ref_=wl_share this is my build so far, the things that cant change are the cpu ram and gpu and cooler and memory rest is up to debate, what do you think?
I just swapped the "unsatable" ram with the "stable" ram and it works perfectly on its own at the advitised speed, So im going to guess that my motherboard cant handle 32gb of 3200 mhz RAM without being unstable,
When would you assume the b550s will be released?
so im putting together a system for a friend and would like to know what psu I need for the build. The components are, ryzen 1700x with wraith spire, b450 tomahawk, 16 gb ddr4 RAM, 1060 3gb 500 gb ssd and 1 tb hhd.No overclocking is planned
