In my honest opinion, AMD hasn't been delivering great CPUs recently (and by that I mean a few years) so I wouldn't hope for too much when it comes to Zen. If it is better than expected then great, because Intel will finally have some decent competition.

It may work if the graphics card you are considering is PCI-Express but not if it's PCI (there is a difference between the two, it's mainly the speed at which the data transfers).

Well, if you decide to upgrade your GPU, your CPU might bottleneck it,limiting its performance, but if uou upgrade your CPU, your old GPU might also bottleneck it. The optimal solution here would be to upgrade your CPU and GPU at the same time, so if you can get by with your old system to wait...

Both are very good choices, but you can get more bang for your buck by getting a cheaper board like the Z97-A, unless you really need the extra features.

The 660 is an old card, so I would recommend you stick with your 6300 (unless it isn't enough for the applications you run, of course) and upgrade your GPU to one that wouldn't be bottlenecked by the 6300 (and save some money for a future CPU+mobo upgrade too in the process), perhaps something...

The above is correct, but unless you REALLY want to overclock, I would say get something like a Xeon E3-1231V3 and spend the money saved on something else.
