Yes, they're a waste of time and in my experience they've done more damage than good. Just get DivX 3, 5, XviD, Lame ACM codec, and an AC3 ACM codec. Besides some unusual audio codecs needed in isolated cases, you shouldn't need anything else. And set the video codecs to run ONLY for their...
