by "audio control panel" do you mean the Playback devices tab? if so, i have tried enabling all available sound devices. they register sound as seen on the volume mixer (the green bar moves with the sound) but no sound comes through

i already installed the drivers, and when i open the volume mixer while playing a music file, the audio is moving on the bar, so i know it is playing, but somehow the monitor speakers produce no sound (they are not muted either). my monitor is using a HDMI cable. thanks in advance for any assistance
