HELP! brand new HDD goes AWOL while loading data

WD Green 2TB, bought to use as a secondary media storage internal drive. First, I put it in an external IDE/USB dock in order to transfer about 200GB of stuff from a laptop. Then, I put inside my desktop, in place of the existing 1TB secondary HDD (am waiting for a new SATA cable to arrive on...

Which one of these headphones is the best for music?

In addition to the Sennheisers, Audio Technica, and Beyerdynamic headphones recommended above, I would also add the Grado SR-80s and, if you listen to jazz, classical, and vocal-dominated music (as opposed to boom boom pop/rap/house/techno), the AKG K240 or (if budget allows) AKG K612. Stay...

I need severe help in finding Computer speakers (2.1) - Hate heavy bass.

Using a T-amp is a good idea, especially if you live in a major city where people will occasionally sell good speakers really cheap on Craigslist...for instance, I've been sorely tempted by a pair of Polk RTi6 for $100, which combined with a T-amp would sound better than any computer speakers...

Looking for ~200$ or less headset/headphones

Best bang for your buck if you're not doing critical music listening or studio mixing, Grado SR60 ($80) ... no need to spend more if it's just for gaming.

I need severe help in finding Computer speakers (2.1) - Hate heavy bass.

Self-powered 2.0 studio monitors = the way to go, the mids are in a whole other galaxy than ANY 2.1 computer speaker system. I highly recommend the M-Audio AV40 or Mackie CR4, both are $150 on Amazon.

    Help me choosing bass headphone

For a lousy $15, forget any over the ear headphones, they will sound like garbage. Your best bet is this NuForce earbud, which performs many times above its price...

Can I use DDR3 modules with different timings and Cas latency?

Well, one week later my system is still running fast and stable, so I guess I will let the inexplicable memory readings in BIOS and CPU-Z stand as is. Also strange is that it suddenly boots significantly faster...about 2-3 seconds before the 4 Windows color blocks come together on the bootup...

Can I use DDR3 modules with different timings and Cas latency?

S-weeeeet! All 4 sticks are running fine so far, could be a placebo effect but I could swear the system feels a little snappier and booted up faster now that I have 16GB instead of 8GB. I will turn off the paging file, only had it set to a fixed 2GB size before anyway. CPU-Z shows that it's...

Can I use DDR3 modules with different timings and Cas latency?

I already have a pair of Adata AX3U1600C4G11-SD 4GB modules from TigerDirect. For some reason I cannot find the full specs on them, not even from the Adata website. I am guessing that the G11 on the TigerDirect AX3U1600C4G11-SD modules means that the timing is 11-11-11-?? Anyway, I am thinking...
